Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital New Campus
As a large comprehensive Grade-A tertiary hospital in South China with annual outpatient and emergency visits exceeding 4 million, Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital’s new campus is positioned as a Smart Healthcare demonstration project, imposing extremely high requirements for power reliability and intelligent O&M of information infrastructure. The new campus data center must support hospital-wide core business systems including HIS, PACS, and EMR for 24/7 uninterrupted operation.
Implementation Scope
Deployed 125kVA modular UPS systems, long-life maintenance-free battery packs, intelligent power distribution cabinets, and related supporting equipment, providing integrated turnkey solutions from power input to endpoint distribution for all critical nodes from outpatient to inpatient buildings, with additional remote power monitoring modules for convenient O&M management.
Results Achieved
Achieved rapid go-live through integrated delivery — high-reliability UPS provided continuous and stable power assurance for the new campus data center, while the coordinated configuration of power distribution cabinets and battery packs ensured zero-interruption switchover of core systems including HIS/PACS during emergencies, significantly reducing IT department O&M pressure and operational risk.
West China Hospital of Sichuan University Data Center
As the diagnostic and treatment center for complex and critical illnesses in Western China, West China Hospital of Sichuan University has consistently ranked among the nation's top institutions. With the rapid development of internet-based hospital services and the explosive growth of medical data volumes, the hospital decided to upgrade and renovate its core data center, requiring the new facility to feature high-density deployment capability, green energy-saving characteristics, and full-lifecycle intelligent O&M capability.
Implementation Scope
Adopted an intelligent micro module overall architecture with enclosed cold aisles to improve cooling efficiency; deployed integrated UPS and in-row precision air conditioning for high efficiency and energy savings, while implementing a dedicated intelligent monitoring platform supporting real-time alerts and remote O&M, with data integration into West China Hospital's existing unified O&M platform.
Results Achieved
The modular architecture supports on-demand seamless expansion, with online maintenance not affecting clinical operations. The combination of high-efficiency cooling and power supply equipment reduced data center PUE from the original 1.8 to below 1.4, achieving green energy-saving goals while ensuring reliability, with O&M team efficiency improving by over 50%.
